This entrance is about 50m away from the Circumvesuviana train station called Pompei Scavi.
This entrance is near to the center of the modern city of Pompeii, at about 500meters from the Church of the Our Lady of Pompeii.
The Circumvesuviana train station called Pompei Santuario is at 650meters and from there you can reach this entrance in 8 minutes on foot.

This entrance is at the North-east corner of Piazza Esedra.
The ticket office is at about 300 meters from the Pompei Scavi station.
POMPEII SITE INFORMATION
Opening times of Pompeii:
Winter season (November 1st – March 31st), 8.30 AM to 5.00 PM, with the last admission at 3.30 PM
Summer season (April 1st – October 31st), 8.30 AM to 7.30 PM, with last admission 6.00 PM
Tickets: €13 per person for an adult
Visits are free of charge for EU citizens under 18, half price for EU citizens aged 18-24 and EU school teachers.
1) “POMPEII SCAVI” CIRCUMVESUVIANA TRAIN STATION
HOW TO REACH THE “POMPEI SCAVI” STATION

-From Naples take the Circumvesuviana train with direction Sorrento and stop at “Pompeii Scavi” (the trip lasts about 35 minutes)
-From Sorrento take train with direction Naples and stop at “Pompeii Scavi” (the trip lasts about 30 minutes)
The entrance called Porta Marina Superiore is at about 100 meters from the train station;
the entrance called Porta Marina Inferiore is at about 300 meters form the train station.

-From Naples take the Circumvesuviana train with direction Poggiomarino and stop at “Pompei Santuario” (the trip lasts about 45 minutes)
The entrance called Porta Anfiteatro is at about 650meters from the Pompei train station (about 8 minutes walk)
2) “POMPEII SANTUARIO” CIRCUMVESUVIANA TRAIN STATION
PLEASE NOTE: For the visitors with reduced mobility or parents with strollers and schools the entrance is Porta Anfiteatro.
