With this tour you'll have the enviable joy of discovering Positano, Amalfi and Ravello, four of the most beautiful villages in Italy. The legendary Positano sits in a splendid panoramic position and is the most picturesque and photogenic town on this stretch of coast. Its enchanting display of delightful white, rose and terracotta-coloured houses fall down the steep hillside to the sea below and they surround the historical Church of Santa Maria Assunta. In 1953 John Steinbeck visited and wrote: ‘Positano bites deep. It is a dream place that isn’t quite real when you are there and becomes beckoningly real after you have gone'. Amalfi's typically Mediterranean architecture, made with characteristic white homes heaped one upon the other, makes it one of Italy's most famous resorts. It's widely considered an open air Museum because of the presence of a multitude of important historical buildings. Ravello is situated in a more elevated position than the other pearls of the Amalfi Coast about 300 meters above sea level. It is an enchanting place, and was a favourite destination for travellers, intellectuals, artists and musicians in the XIX century.
