HOW TO REACH THE MEETING POINT

IN POMPEII

Several routes for cruise passengers. Relying on an experienced guide is necessary to optimize the time available.

This entrance is about 50m away from the Circumvesuviana train station called Pompei Scavi.

This entrance is near to the center of the modern city of Pompeii, at about 500meters from the Church of the Our Lady of Pompeii.

The Circumvesuviana train station called Pompei Santuario is at 650meters and from there you can reach this entrance in 8 minutes on foot.

This entrance is at the North-east corner of Piazza Esedra.

The ticket office is at about 500 meters from the Pompei Scavi station.

POMPEII SITE INFORMATION

Opening times of Pompeii:

Winter season (November – March), 8.30 AM to 5.00 PM, with the last admission at 3.30 PM

Summer season (April – October), 8.30 AM to 7.30 PM, last admission 6.00 PM

Tickets: €11 per person for an adult, or €20 for a combined ticket for Herculaneum and Pompeii which is valid for three days.

Visits are free of charge for EU citizens under 18, and half price for EU citizens aged 18-24 and EU permanent school teachers.

1) “POMPEII SCAVI” CIRCUMVESUVIANA TRAIN STATION

HOW TO REACH POMPEI SCAVI STATION

-From Naples you can reach Pompei Scavi by train with direction Sorrento (the trip lasts about 35 minutes)

-From Sorrento you can reach Pompei Scavi by train with direction Naples (the trip lasts about 25 minutes)

The entrance called Porta Marina Superiore is at about 100 meters from the train station;

the entrance called Porta Marina Inferiore is at about 500 meters form the train station.

-From Naples you che reach Pompei Santuario by Circumvesuviana train with direction Poggiomarino and stop at Pompei Santuario (the trip lasts about 45 minutes)

The entrance called Porta Anfiteatro is at about 650meters from the Pompei train station (about 8 minutes on foot)

2) “POMPEII” CIRCUMVESUVIANA TRAIN STATION

PLEASE NOTE: For the visitors with reduced mobility or parents with strollers and schools the entrance is Porta Anfiteatro.
