VILLAS IN TIVOLI - Hadrian's Villa and Villa D'Este in Tivoli
30 Kms east of Rome you can find Tivoli, where there are two artistic gems, splendid villas from two different ages.
The Villa Adriana dating back to Roman Times and the Villa D'Este from the Renaissance period.
At the foot of the Tiburtini hills you will see Hadrian's Villa built by Emperor Hadrian based on the memories he had of the monuments and sites he had seen during his travels in the East. Next you will find Villa D'Este, one of the most beautiful residences of the Renaissance. Fountains are located in the heart of splendid Italian style gardens, a peaceful symphony of carved stone, shade, sunlight and water.
